Advances in nanotechnologies will change the way we live our lives. With these technologies, we will see a seamless merging of the physical and virtual realms, bringing about a new hybrid reality. In this new reality, material goods won’t be able to keep pace with what the hybrid world can offer, and the most desirable products will be immaterial, experience-based products. In response to the challenges of designing for this new reality, this project explores experiences designed around digitally responsive fabrics that offer an intimate interface to experiences within the new hybrid reality.
